It’s been very quiet lately. Maybe because the summer is leaving and everyone is trying to take advantage of its latest days. I’m still learning my ways around newly updated Oracle’s MySupport. So far I have mixed feelings – I like the speed compared to metalink3, however, I’m still not sure if I get the new interface as well as flash-based navigation.
Tom Siebel got into problem with an elephant – but everyone probably knows about it by now. I wish him a speedy recovery.
I’ve been busy preparing environment for new project. Learning about configuring SSO for WNA-enabled security under Linux using OAS. Luckily for me, there’s a good discussion in regards to this here: http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=847808
Also, I’ve started re-reading “The Data Warehouse Toolkit”. It’s an awesome book.
I can’t dedicate enough attention to OTN anymore, but cheers to everyone who’s doing a great job of helping people to learn. I’m still about 15 questions away from 10th spot, so don’t relax too much Goran
This is how top-10 looks like as of today:

Good luck all.
I moved on to a new project in NYC. This explains my lack of the posts. It’s an exciting new project that I’m not able to share anything about publicly. But hopefully, I’ll be able to share some more new tips and hints. There’re so many new OBIEE bloggers now. I wonder what’s the reason the OBIEE web arena is becoming so competitive
Also, I’ve lost interest for posting on OTN for time being. Good luck all
I was on a short vacation in Miami and couldn’t approve / reply to comments or post new things. Thank you for your interesting comments. I’ll definitely try to reply to everyone. I’m going to deal with pressing issues and then post new things about OBIEE.
Meanwhile – I suggest you read this article by Adrian Ward – http://majendi.blogspot.com/2009/06/state-of-obiee-market.html
Have a great day!
OBIEE powerhouses – Majendji (Adrian Ward – original Siebel Analytics blogger) and Rittman Mead have merged. I am very happy for both parties and I am sure that this merger will work out great. Congratulations!(I actually made sure that it wasn’t posted on April 1st)

I moved to a new apartment this past week-end. I’m now closer to DC and my commute time has been cut in half. It only takes me 30 minutes door-to-door. And it costs slightly cheaper too – $5.80 round-trip as opposed to $8 before (bus and metro). It’s also my first time living in a building with concierge and amenities (small gym, sauna, swimming pool, party-room). Parking is still a little uncomfortable in a garage – I’m on the lowest level, and the marks on the walls made me nervous when driving down there first time. There’re a lot of diplomats living in the building, a lot of nice older folks, and I’ve seen young people as well. Everyone seems to be friendly. I can’t wait to get online, but that should happen today (I’m getting FIOS – I think it stands for Fiber Internet Optic Service – which I’ve been happy with at my old place). Please don’t think that this was another blogging slump. Have a wonderful week everyone.
